Vibrating alert, vibra-Call
The ability of a mobile handset to alert of any incoming calls by vibrations, not just a ringtone. top
Vibrating battery
A mobile phone battery, which has vibrating capability. Available as an accessory for phones which do not have vibrating capability built-in. top
Voice activation
The ability of a handset to dial a number and answer a call according to voice commands. top
Voice mail
A recorded message service that calls divert to when the called party is engaged or does not answer. top
Voice record
The ability of a phone to record the incoming caller’s voice for playback later. top
VoIP (Voice over IP)
Voice over IP, or VoIP, makes it possible to have a telephone conversation over the Internet, instead of over fixed-lines (landlines). This usually results in lower costs, especially for long-distance calls. Note that voice over IP traffic does not necessarily have to travel over the public Internet: it may also be deployed on private IP networks. top
